The setting was mostly in TD Garden where the Celtics play. The main characters were Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Rajon Rondo. There was really no conflict in the book besides when the Celtics played the Lakers in the NBA finals. I love how much information it gives about the Celtics. Some of the stuff in the book I didn't know until I read it. I love the Celtics and this book was all about the Celtics. This was my favorite book I've ever read!

The setting in this book is in Oregon. The main characters in this book are Cheyenne Wilder and Griffin. The conflict in this story is a blind girl gets kidnapped on accident. Cheyenne needs to find a way out with only using her other senses.
I loved the mystery in this book. You never know what will happen next and there are endless possibilities. The only thing I disliked about this book is Griffin (the person who kidnapped her) always acted like she needed someone to protect her. I loved how the book ended.

Who Was Queen Elizabeth I?

The setting is England. The main characters of the book are Elizabeth I, Anne Boleyn, King Henry VI and Mary Tudor. The conflict is that after Edward Elizabeth's brother died he put lady Jane Grey in charge which upset Mary because she was next in line to the throne. So she left to go claim the throne and she did but she saw Elizabeth as a threat so she imprisoned her sister. And everyone thinks that she will never be queen and will just die. I liked that it was in the Renaissance period and it was the Tudor dynasty. It could use a little more pictures.

The setting is the Eucalyptus Middle School. The main characters are Cal, Jesse, Justin, and Liz. The conflict is Cal trying to make a Broadway worthy play with only a tight budget and crazy/chaotic cast. I liked the play's name the most (Moon Over Mississippi). I loved the book!

The setting is a creepy Victorian inn in Castle Hill, Ohio, which twelve-year-old Lila and her family inherit after her grandfather's death. The characters are Lila, an overly dramatic 12-year-old who can see ghosts; her skeptical younger brother, Caleb; and their new, ghost-obsessed neighbor, Teddy. I liked how it was a horror and a mystery book. The book was amazing.

The setting is all over the place. They are refugees, after all. The "they" I am talking about are Josef, a boy trying to survive the Nazis, Isabel, a girl from Cuba in hard times, and Mahmoud, a boy escaping the civil war in Syria to go to Europe. Josef is trying to go to Cuba, and Isabel to America. I liked how historically accurate it was, but it also was fiction!

The setting is Hogwarts. The main characters are Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The conflict is the war raging against Lord Voldemort. At the end [SPOILER REMOVED], which is really sad. What I liked most about this book is when Harry and Dumbledore figure out how to destroy Voldemort. What I did not like about this book is when Harry cheats at quidditch. When you finish the book try watching the movie.

The Tale of Desperaux

This story takes place in a fictional Kingdom called the Kingdom of Dor. The main characters in the story are a mouse named Desperaux, Princess Pea, a rat named Roscuro and Miggery Sow. Desperaux was kicked out of his family because he looks different than the other mice. The conflict was when Roscuro made Miggery Sow kidnap Princess Pea.
My favorite part of the book was when Desperaux had enough courage to go into the dungeon to save Princess Pea from Roscuro and Miggery Sow. I didn't like when the Queen died when she saw a rat in her soup, and when the king banned soup, spoons and bowls in the Kingdom of Dor.

Main settings: Pippa's home, the school, Cara's home
Main Characters: Pippa, Pippa's parents, Pippa's brother Josh, Cara Ward, Ravi, Andie Bell, Elliot Ward.
Conflict: Andie Bell went missing 5 years ago, and Sal Singh was arrested for it. Pippa thinks it wasn't Sal, and as she is trying to find out the real suspect, someone is threatening her.
I liked how the book gave you a thrill when they found out information that was close to the answer.
I did not like that the person who was the actual suspect [SPOILER REMOVED] in the process of trying to scare her.

The Titan’s Curse (Percy Jackson & the Olympians, book 3)
By Rick Riordan

The setting is in New York. The main characters are Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Bianca Di Angelo, Zoe nightshade, Nico Di Angelo, Thalia Grace, Grover Underwood, Artemis, Atlas and Luke Castellan. The main problem in this story is that the titan, Kronos, is arising and he has gotten Atlas, the titan who holds the sky from the land, into siding with him. Luke has captured Annabeth and the god, Artemis, and made them hold the weight of the sky. It is up to Percy and his friends to save Annabeth and Artemis before the titan lord rises from the dead and destroys Olympus.
What I liked most about this book is all the things that happened also connected with Greek mythology. It connected with it by putting in the titan lord as the main antagonist. It features a son of Poseidon as the main protagonist. It also put gods like Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, Apollo, the god of the sun and Dionysus, the god of wine. So in conclusion I like this book because of the Greek mythology in it.
One thing that I don't like about the book is that they don't explain very much what happened to the kidnapped characters as in Annabeth and Artemis. I did not like that they did not give detail on how Artemis was captured. Also they did not give detail on the place they were in until one of the last chapters. Also they did not explain very well how Luke got the monster that kidnapped Annabeth onto his side (Kronos's side). Also if Artemis is a goddess, how could they capture her if she was the goddess of the hunt?

Six of Crows
By Leigh Bardugo
★★★★★

Six of Crows takes place in a magical world. The book takes place in a few main locations, Ketterdam, a small island in Kerch dominated by wealthy merchants and gangs, then there is Fjerda home to the infamous ice court. The people of Fjerda hate Grisha and think of them as un-human abominations. The main characters include Kaz Brekker, a skilled and ruthless lieutenant of the Dregs who runs the Crow Club, a gambling den. Then there is Inej also known as the wraith. If she doesn't want you to see her you won't see her. There is also Jesper, an incredible sharpshooter whose two twin pearl handle revolvers could not be more important. Nina is a skilled Grisha heartrender who has the ability to stop your heart with a flick of her hand. Matthias Helvar is a druskelle sworn to find and capture Grisha for an (unfair) trial at the ice court but he has fallen from grace. Finally there's Wylan Van Eck, son of the mercher who put them up to all this. He's a so-so demo man but his information is priceless. One day Kaz is taken prisoner by a wealthy mercher by the name of Van Eck and offered 30 million Kruge (currency) if he takes on the impossible task of penetrating the Ice Court.
I love how the characters are so unique with their own personalities. For example Kaz is always seven steps ahead of everyone and can outsmart even the best. I did not like how long it took to gather all of the characters for the book. I think that they could have been recruited a little bit faster.
Six of Crows is amazing, you must read it or you will be missing out.

The Maze Runner
By James Dashner
★★★★★

To start the setting is a massive maze that changes each night and will never repeat itself, there are also 8 main sections, one of them containing a room with the exit of the maze. Also there are monsters in the maze that will come periodically in waves that they have to fend off, and last but not least if you get trapped in the maze you will most likely die (unless you're the main character). The two main issues of the book are that #1 there is a virus that they need to not catch and #2 the monsters and the maze itself. And last but not least the characters are Thomas (main), Newt (side), Minho (main), and Alby (side).
I liked how it was not just a straight to the point easy maze. It had a layer of complexity that most books I read fail to meet and that is what I like about it. Another thing is that the main character Thomas used to be a part of the group that put the people there. There was NOTHING I did not enjoy about the book, everything fit so well into the world that the writer developed.

The setting is a dystopian world disguised as a utopia for its citizens. But once you get farther into the city No.6 you realize it's not as perfect as it looks. Shion and Rat find out all the imperfections in this so-called 'perfect city'. The leaders of this city want to stop Shion and Rat from finding these imperfections but they have other problems to deal with.... I love this story so much the characters are so well written and there are so many twists! This story had so many amazing elements. If I could give it six stars I would!
I loved how there was action and violence but still happy things like romance and dogs! There is just such a sad ending, the rest of the story is really good. It's just sad we have to lose so many characters. I love it so much!

Basically there are different factions and you are born into a certain one. They all value different things, and when you turn 16 you get to choose which one to go into. Tris the main character goes through stress going up to the evaluation, which is where they tell you which one to enter but results are inconclusive.
I really liked all the plot twists and the dystopian romance which was like the Hunger Games series which I really loved. It was overall good except for one part where it was cringey and a little weird to read, but overall it was great. Great dystopian read, if you liked the Hunger Games it should be a great read.
