Tufts After School Program- Starting February 6th

We are excited to announce that the McGlynn, Andrews Middle, and West Somerville Neighborhood Schools will be partnering with Tufts University Hillel to offer after school extracurricular opportunities for students on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons starting on February 6th and 8th . Transportation will be provided from McGlynn and Andrews schools to the Tufts University campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. WSNS students will need to walk to Tufts Hillel. Please note the following dates on which the program will NOT run due to Jewish holidays, national holidays, and school breaks: 2/20, 2/22, 3/19, 3/21, 4/16, 4/18, 4/23. The last day of the program will be 4/25.

Both programs will run on 4/25 and will be followed by a showcase highlighting the student's work throughout the semester. Families are invited to attend the showcase on 4/25 and 6:00pm. More communication will be shared closer to the date.

The bus will depart from the McGlynn Middle School at 3:15 and arrive on Tufts University's campus at approximately 3:30. The following extracurricular opportunities will be offered to our students:

Per Tufts University requirements, all participating students must be fully vaccinated to participate in this program and encouraged to wear masks at all times on Tufts campus. While participating in this McGlynn and Andrews Middle Schools/WSNS/Tufts University partnership, all students are reminded that their school code of conduct still applies (please reference your Middle School Handbook for more information). Lack of compliance with school code of conduct may result in students being removed from the program
