Upcoming Events for Incoming 6th Grade Students

Dear Incoming 6th Grade Students and Families,

Thank you for attending our Grade 6 Open House and Orientation last night! It was wonderful to meet you and your student(s). I cannot wait to help them find success in middle school and get to know them more as students and people. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me over the next few months.

As I mentioned in the opening presentation, last night's Open House was just one of many opportunities that students have to help them make a successful transition from elementary to middle school. Below are some additional dates to keep on your radar to help your student(s) make the transition to the McGlynn Middle School:

• Coffee & Bagels with the Principal (registration required)- July 29 from 9-10 AM & August 6 from 9-10 AM
• Set up a Meeting with the Principal- August 11-12 or August 18-19 (In person or Virtual meetings will be offered)
• 6th Grade Orientation: Thursday, August 21st from 9-11 AM
• First Day of School: Wednesday, August 27th

I will communicate more details about registering for these upcoming events in the coming months.
